Freshen Up Your Image
When was the last time you took a serious look at your website? What about your logo, stationary, or email signature? Just as we remodel our homes, sometimes business materials can benefit from a solid makeover.
Think about it this way–when you get daily or weekly emails from the same source they become predictable. How often do you read them? If the style and layout are changed, we instantly become more interested. Curiosity takes over, and it’s not so simple to gloss over the same old message like we‘ve become accustomed to. We automatically give a little more time to it, taking a look to see what changed. The same can be said for your marketing pieces. Whether it’s the layout of your website or newsletter content, making a change can be a benefit by bringing the focus back to your marketing message.

Bad Habits Push Your Limits
We’ve all got at least one bad habit. Maybe we can’t live without that indulgent mocha late in the morning, or rely on sugary snacks to keep us going throughout the day. Chances are, there is at least one thing that you do that you know isn’t the best practice, but continue on with it anyway. Have you ever thought about the things that you do in terms of your workday that might be a bad habit?
Here are a few examples:
- Eating lunch at your desk.
- Not taking time to eat lunch at all.
- Avoiding important personal appointments (doctor, dentist, etc) because you feel you have too many other things to do.
- Missing mealtime with your family to work later.
- Not using vacation, personal time, or sick days (even when you‘re really sick).
- Over promising yourself, taking on too many assignments then having to work late, or work too quickly.
All of us are guilty of bad habits, but it’s up to us to break the cycle. The first step is to identify the problem, and then come up with a plan to improve things. After all, a good work-life balance is essential to your well-being.
